Service Information

Keratin straightening treatment promises from 70% to 100% reduction of frizz and curls from the hair. Our products contain only naturally-derived ingredients, and no harsh chemicals.

Results on average last approximately 12-16 weeks. However, this depends on a number of factors, including; the previous hair condition, how your hair will react to the product, how porous your hair is (how much product is absorbed into your hair), and if proper aftercare products are used (Cocochoco sulphate free shampoos and silicone free conditioners are the only recommended aftercare). Please note that this is a natural treatment, and results are unique on each application, and on each client. The results from this treatment can also depend on other health factors, for example hormone levels and/or treatments, and other medications.

Cocochoco Keratin treatment is a deeply nourishing and repairing treatment, so it will not damage the hair. This treatment results in straighter, smoother, softer, shinier, and healthier looking hair. This treatment usually takes from 2-4 hours, depending on hair length and thickness.

Please note that these prices  don’t include the recommended Aftercare Products. These can be purchased separately from our salon.

The final price of your treatment will be confirmed by our stylist on the day of your appointment.

 

Before booking, please note:

 

The hair should be coloured either two weeks before, or two weeks after the Cocochoco treatment. For best results, we recommend doing any bleach services (including highlights) two weeks before a Cocochoco treatment, and when using any other colours, the colour should be done two weeks after the Cocochoco treatment. 

For the first 72 hours after the treatment:

  • Do not wash your hair or get it wet (including excess sweat, steam, etc.)
  • Don’t bend, tie or clip your hair in any way, including behind the ears
  • Do not cover your head with anything
  • Use hair straightener occasionally in the morning if your hair bends/ frizzes while sleeping (please note: only use straightener at 160 degrees as higher temperatures may affect the treatment)
  • In case the hair gets wet or absorbs too much moisture, blow dry it quickly and straighten.

To prolong the effects of the treatment only Cocochoco sulfate free shampoo (Sulfates will wash the keratin from the hair very quickly) and Cocochoco silicone-free conditioner (conditioners with silicone will damage the coating created by the keratin treatment) are recommended. Wash as often as needed. After washing, blow dry your hair for best effects. Try not to use invasive styling products that contain alcohol. In addition, we recommend using a Cocochoco hair mask weekly in order to keep hair looking and feeling extra smooth, soft, shiny and healthy.

Please note that not all sulfate free shampoos and conditioners are suitable as aftercare, and Cocochoco is not responsible for negative effects from the use of any other aftercare brands.

Privacy

To book your appointment we will ask for full name and contact number.

This information is only used if we need to contact you regarding your appointment (sending an appointment reminder and receiving confirmation).

We greatly appreciate your cooperation in providing us with your contact information. 

 

Deposit

We ask for a €40 deposit to be paid the same day as appointment booking. This €40 will be deducted from the final price of your treatment.
Failure to pay will result in cancellation of the appointment. Deposit is non refundable, however we have a cancellation policy if you cancel your appointment 72 hours before your service is scheduled, we will organise another day for you. You can change your date of appointment once.

 

Running Late for an Appointment

Please be courteous to your Stylist and other clients. Notify us if you are running late, however If you are more than 30 minutes late we may have to reschedule your appointment.

 

72 Hour Cancellation Policy

We understand that due to your busy schedule you may have to cancel or change an appointment with us.

In order to respect the time of both our clients and our staff, we simply ask that you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 72 hours prior to the appointment. This gives the salon enough time to fill the time slot.

If a client fails to cancel within 72 hours, the €40 deposit paid at time of booking will be forfeit. 

 

No Show / No Call for Service & Training

We consider you to be a No Show / No-Call 15 minutes after your appointment start time. We will try to fill that time slot with clients on our cancellation list immediately after 15 minutes.

In order to respect the time of our Stylists, clients who fail to show for appointments or training will be asked to pre-pay full cost of service or training in the future. Pre-pay service is non refundable. Please understand that when you forget or don’t cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we have very little opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed in advance, because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.

 

Confirming by Call or Message

As a courtesy, we make every effort to notify you of your appointment date and time. We will call or text to confirm your service few days prior to your appointment, you will need to confirm your appointment at least 48 hours beforehand. However, it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times and inform us if your contact information has changed. We reserve the right to cancel the appointment, if client doesn’t confirm it with us.

 

Our Salon Guarantee

We make every attempt to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience at Cocochoco Ireland Hair Studio. In the event that you are not completely satisfied, please let us know at the time of your service or within 6 days after your service has been performed.

 

Refunds

All services are non refundable but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge.

The service must be a mistake from the service provider, not something you might have changed your mind (after the service has been performed), or due to failure of using proper aftercare. You have 4 days to contact the Salon to receive a complimentary service to adjust any dissatisfaction.

It is important you contact the Salon as soon as you are unhappy so we can schedule you as soon as possible for a corrective service.

Children

This treatment is only recommended for clients aged 14 and over.

 

Rights to Refuse Service

​Cocochoco Ireland Hair Studio reserves the right to refuse service if:

  • We don’t believe client will benefit from the treatment
  • Client demonstrating inappropriate behavior to any member of our staff.
  • Client does not agree with service price

 

Gift Certificate Policy

  • ​Gift certificates are valid for up 6 months from the date of purchase and must be presented at time of service.
  • Copies of gift certificates are not acceptable.
  • Please call Cocochoco Ireland Hair Studio concerning lost gift certificates.
  • All gift certificates are non-refundable.
  • Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.
  • Gift certificates are valid at Cocochoco Ireland Hair Studio only for all products and services available.

 

Payment Methods

Cocochoco Ireland Hair Studio only accepts cash payment for products and services on the day. This is because we no longer operate a card reader.
